Sports Sculptures |
In addition to sports monuments, Michael has created several collectible sports sculptures. Safe at Home was inspired by a renowned call during the 1955 World Series, in which the Broklyn Dodgers Jackie Robinson slides into home, greeted by the Yankees catcher Yogi Berra. A Day at the Park exemplifies a perfect batting swing and has won top awards in art shows. |

Michael created the five times life-size Winged Foot for The Art of Running. Landmarks, painted by Maura Conron, depicts scenes along the marathon route from Hopkinton to Boston. Photo by Kathleen Culler. |
Large and small unpainted versions of the feet are available for purchase, with proceeds benefitting the project. |
